hashcat Forum

Hello,

I am trying to extract the hash for a zip file that was encrypted with an unknown program all the way back in 2014.
When looking at the files in the archive with 7zip I see "StrongCrypto Deflate" for the method:


Zip2John reports "[FILE] is not encrypted, or stored with non-handled compression type"


Any thoughts on how to get this hash or another method to cracking this zip file?
