Lets say in other way: CPU is not needed for oclHashCat-lite when doing bruteforce of gpu friendly algos like MD5. CPU, BUS speed, BUS wide and else is needed when you doing Dictionary, Hybrid attacks with large dict and large amount of hashes so for oclHashCat-plus you need muscle CPU.
