Hi,

My HD 5870 gives me 'only' 71000 keys/s on WPA.
I saw on this forum (I lost the topic) that some people here get more.
What is the optimization to do for dictionary attack ?
Thank you.
Why ppls like you never post the command and settings they used while testing ?
// and yes , you should get more then 79036 for wpa , much more...

The HD5870 is a great card, still gives the best "bang for the buck" as far as I know.

I get about 101.0k to 102.2k with WPA on mine.

Make sure you try this, or similar on your system.

-n 80 -u 4096

No settings, just benchmark with default values. Win 7 x64.

Yay ! Smile

That's a good speed !

Now try -n 160 - u 4096, but watch your temperature.

Hum, with -n 80 Temperature is about 88°C so I think I will stay with this !
I guess -n 160 will exceed 90°C.

That seems high, I suggest you make sure the cooling fins are free from dust and that your fan is working properly.
