I am trying to crack a lost mac password hash but when I load the hash.txt file into cudahashcat I am only getting about 7000H/s, 3500H/s per card. Here is the command I am using (I open a command window in the folder directly)

cudaHashcat64 -m 7100 hash.txt -a 3 ?a?a?a?a?a

What can I do to speed this process up?
guess the right password first?

Sorry, I should have specified, speed the CRACKING process up, not speed the password recovery process in general up. I must be doing something wrong because 3500H/s is prettttyyy slow for a 770, even if it is nVidia
I dunno, 770 is lower end. 980ti is doing 7700k alone so.
Sounds about right, its pbkdf2-hmac-sha512. What let's you think it should be faster, or what did you expect?
