For a project I'm working on I need a dedicated wpa/wpa2 password cracking machine. something that could be placed in a rack so space isn't a big issue in here. I guess that because the machine is intended for a specific computation I might be able to use non generic hardware to improve the cracking speed.

My question is,How do I begin? I read about using fpga but I don't have much prior experience with it and after reading about it in the forum here I'm not sure if there is enough support for it in hashcat.
yelp!
There's no special hardware for WPA cracking. You need to stick to CPU/GPU.

how does the pico fpga work with hashcat then to crack other passwords?
It doesn't. We've been unsuccessful in making hashcat work with Pico/Micron's FPGA solutions.
