But the strangest thing, i hut down my machine and the fan on the GTX was still running.. i unplugged the power suppy both from the outlet and the gtx and the gtx fan is STILL running..  how? why? make it stop?
have you tried turning it off and on again?
It looks like GTX1080 comes with the infinite energy technology of nikola.
You don't need a technician, you need a priest.

of course
This is really strange.. so last night I powered down the machine and went to bed.. this morning the fans were still on.. I shut off and unplugged the power supply (a Corsair 1000w) from the wall outlet and they were still going.. the GTX was NOT running at this point.. but my USB wifi card was still lit and the fans too..

Im wondering if this is a bios setting?

The only thing that stops it, is actually disconnecting the power supply from the board.

my board is a gigabyte, ga-H270-hd3

So strange
