Has anyone started working on porting oclHashcat to Mac OS X, particularly on MBP presumably using OpenCL support for the NVIDIA GeForce 320M chipset?

Hello,
I am also an Mac_user, i just send to Atom my tests repports about runing the Hashcat tool into an Mac...
Well, i give several's hours to test all the possibility's...
Here my results.
Based on an MacBookPro 17 ( Last model 2011) I7, SSD/ATI 6750M 1G / OS = i try on both = Snow Leopard & LION
Purely on MAC = For sure NO, cause the tool are not compiled for this sytem
Through, Virtual Machine like "VMware Fusion or //" you can launch any Windows, XP, Seven etc..even an Linux distb", it was my case..
On XP, On 7, On Linux Through Vmware fusion - Not working
Even on the last version of VMware who are seem compatible with OpenGL etc...( version 4.x)
I can only use HASHCAT on CPU & NOT ON GPU
Reason, well, i think the Graphics Drivers & GPU requirements are not present on an Virtual Machine, that drivers are VMware one who are compatible, for games et other app, here we need some specifics & orginal one's.
I try also with BootCamp on an windows 7 & XP = Not working...
So i stay sadly with Hashcat on CPU on xp virtual machine & JTR on MAC.
Regards,
Tony
Stop using a gay computer and it will work fine.

ahahahahahah !
Well, gay computer or not ! i can tell you ; after 25 years on PC, OSX was for me an "deliverance/Liberation" ! uhhh
No virus no spyware no tweaking no registry manipulation, No Perl have to be installed ( active_perl), No python need to be installed, no Ruby have to be Ins....etc....all included....SSh tools etc...
all is working NOW & Quick without any tweak's !
I am NOT an APPLE FANBOY dont care about...
& like you know - OSX is an FreeBSD system ( Unix based )...so !
To be clear = all the dirty stuff , i make it on " VMware on Windows XP"....ehehehe !
Propably LINUX can be another option, but from my part & Stuff/job i am going to loose many app i need...& can't make 3 boot's on my Machines....
So i hope & wait about the Hashcat team for an MAC_OSX compilation !! eheheh who knows ?? one day maybe.....
JTR is nicely compiled in MAC so why not Hashcat... !
You implied I use windows. IIRC you can dual boot linux on a mac assuming that you have an x86 processor. I think you would find this to be the best route since VM's will not properly translate to opencl, yet. Hell you could just boot a backtrack livecd and use oclhashcat, it contains everything needed.

because hashcat is not jtr
