As a beginner, I once have a question. Maybe not a good one :-)

Is it possible to find out just a part of a password with hashcat? Maybe then I can find out the rest!

No. There's no such thing as a partial crack on a hash.

You can, however, feed partial passwords (if you know some of it) and let hashcat flesh out the permutations as time/wordlist/etc. permits.
