How do i generate a hashfile when i know the first few characters that I'm trying too - Marnie - 08-27-2021 Hi guys. I'm using hashcat for the first time. Sorry in advance if my question sounds a bit redundant. My question is, I'm trying to crack a SHA516 password that i self generated a while back on the blockchain.. I can remember the first 8 charachters of the 16 charachter password, but from the mask attack tutorials I have seen so far, I need to add a hash file. Is it important to have a list of hashes? What if I dont have one?. How do i make one? Do I need to add an account name or link to the blockchain where the password im trying to crack is from? If so, can I please have an example on how i can do that in termux? Thanks. |
