The 2nd best way is to not use Windows and therefore obviate the need to use the MinGW compiled binaries. The 3rd best way is to configure your antivirus program appropriately so that it excludes the utils from scanning or takes no action on these particular false-positive triggers. Set up a folder for all the apps that you need but flag up in your AV and set that up as an exclusion in the AV settings.. all the security testers I know do it.
