--disable-potfile option not available ? - proinside - 04-22-2012 Help options does not list --disable-potfile for oclhashcat-plus, while hashcat have it. See, if the user choose to save in a different file name(and extension, wathever), a default potfile in the oclhashcat main folder is always adding all found results. After sometime, the file can take a huge size when in fact isn't needed when the user uses the -o "filename.ext". Or am I missing something ? Tks. RE: --disable-potfile option not available ? - atom - 04-22-2012 it is required when you use the --show or the --left switch, thats why you can not disable it RE: --disable-potfile option not available ? - proinside - 04-22-2012 (04-22-2012, 04:10 PM)atom Wrote: it is required when you use the --show or the --left switch, thats why you can not disable it Understood, thanks. What impact that might have in performance overall ? I guess it must be nothing or... can be a little bit, just a little bit ? I'm not thinking about runing 10 minutes or an hour. Just imagine if it is running one week or one month, for example ? I guess this is not a relevant question, but more a curiosity question. You already justify it with no doubt about it at all.
