Incredibly slow cracking for single char ?a - miazurue - 10-23-2022 Hi, I'm aware that longer mask is needed to gain speed from parallelization and with longer mask my GTX 1070 for veracrypt SHA512 has 500-600 H/s which is about OK, but when I try single character password "?a", the speed is 0.03H/s (about 30 seconds to check one of 95 possible characters) - it is exactly as slow as if I did it by hand. Is it expected or something is wrong? I'd expect it to take 30 seconds overall, checking each character in parallel RE: Incredibly slow cracking for single char ?a - marc1n - 10-24-2022 It is normal because the hashcat can not accelerate because it is too small number of characters.... |
