cuMemFree(): hardware stack error - Austringer - 12-02-2022

First run on hashcat on windows 10

I think my drivers are good for the gtx 1060 mobile

hashcat stopped with these errors, i can not find any information on this in hashcat forums.

Your laptop is likely killing the GTX 1060 and auto switching to the iGPU to save power. This is a common fault on laptops and one of the reasons, among many, that I suggest against using most laptops for hashcat.

I believe this also could be relating to having the graphics card memory clocks set to high. I have occasionally ran into this issue when I had severely overclocked on my memory clocks.

Yes, you are absolutely right. I had it in turbo mode with core +200MHz and mem +400MHz. And i had left it like that

Now I am looking at slowing it down slightly from normal speed, a 10 hr run would take 11 hrs instead but my temps are 50 with a cold case instead of 70 with a hot keyboard
