Hello i am searching for someone patient, to tell me how to set up hashcat, trying to open up a old file icant remember the code for found hashcat but when trying to follow the wiki with kleoprata.
It seems nothing makes sense (dont know if its a new update from kleopatra but) cant seem to find the place where it wants me to input to get a key, also to be fair i dont know crap of how to set the rest up either so i hope to find someone patient to help guide me trough this so i can try brute force this file.

What type of file specifically are you trying to crack? The steps vary quite a lot depending on what type it is, i.e compressed archives, crypto wallets and office documents all have their own unique steps
Edit: Ah, sorry. Kleopatra, so it's GPG. How specifically do you have the file protected? Did you use a keyfile, key or password etc to encrypt the data?
