Password TP Link Archer C7 - kuny1991 - 10-31-2025
Hello everyone,
I need to crack the password to my TP Link Archer C7. I am connected to wifi, but I don't know the password for the administration. The default was "admin".
Do you have a tip on how to crack this, how to get the "handshake" for example?

Thank you for the tips, unfortunately the router has specific settings and I would delete them with a factory reset, which I cannot afford. I would need to crack the password to the router. Is there no option?

You can always try to SSH, telnet, UART or a programmer+clip to extract the /etc/shadow file. Which then brings it back around to hashcat which you'll need to convert the hash back to the plain text password.
But it sounds like it'll be much easier to write down all those specific settings (which takes effort, but I'm sure you can afford) do a factory reset and re-enter all those specific settings.

Unfortunately, I currently do not have access to the router's administration. I am connected to its WiFi network, I have the router at home, but I do not know the password to copy the settings and set them up again.
I'll try to find out more about SSH, Telnet, etc., thanks for the guidance.
