Line length - mormaii2 - 12-10-2012
Hey, using hashcat plus I've tried to crack myBB passwords (-m 2811) and it worked perfectly. But when I try to crack them through hashcat lite I use the same (-m 2811) and put the hash in a text file or the console and I get:
ERROR: Hash 'censored:censored': Line-length exception
Any help?

CPU's hashcat doesn't read hashes from command-line.
Make sure you're using the proper relative path of hash-file.

I did not say I was trying to use CPU hashcat. I also did state that I tried both inputting them from command-line and from a hash-file.

Hm.
Post the hash, after masking some of it, or at least mention the exact length of hash and salt.

I would suggest posting the entire command line you're using, again with a mask as M@LIK mentioned, but keeping the lengths the same.
