Hashcat 0.12 no responding - yofbalibump - 01-18-2013

Hello i'm working with 2 GPU and it is impossible to use one of them
I'm on Ubuntu 11.10 64bits

Using the first one I have this:

./cudaHashcat-plus64.bin -m 3000 -d 1 -n 1 -p --show -a 3 921988BA001DC8E1 --force
cudaHashcat-plus v0.12 by atom starting...

Hashes: 1 total, 1 unique salts, 1 unique digests
Bitmaps: 8 bits, 256 entries, 0x000000ff mask, 1024 bytes
Workload: 16 loops, 1 accel
Watchdog: Temperature abort trigger set to 90c
Watchdog: Temperature retain trigger set to 80c

Using the second one here is the message I get and Hashcat is not responding anymore:

./cudaHashcat-plus64.bin -m 3000 -d 2 -n 1 -p --show -a 3 921988BA001DC8E1 --force

why are you using --force? what happens when you omit this?

RE: Hashcat 0.12 no responding - yofbalibump - 01-18-2013

Sorry for the force it is because of the hash type:

ERROR: If you want to brute-force (-a 3) a single hash of the hash-type (-m 3000) use oclHashcat-lite use --force to ignore this warning

But I have the same problem for every password cracking

Here another example:

./cudaHashcat-plus64.bin -m 1000 -d 2 -n 1 -p --show -a 0 DE26CCE0356891A4A020E7C4957AFC72 /usr/share/dict/french

Which driver is that

RE: Hashcat 0.12 no responding - mastercracker - 01-18-2013

Also, unless there is something I don't understand, this does not make sense:
Code:
-p --show
-p is to specify a separator character which you don't provide.
--show is used when you want to get something out of the .pot file.

NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 310.19 Thu Nov 8 00:52:03 PST 2012

Works for both GPU as described in nvidia doc

RE: Hashcat 0.12 no responding - yofbalibump - 01-18-2013

for the -p --show I was just trying something.
That's not the root of the problem

Thx

Hm I am using the 560 Ti as well, and that driver. Only difference is that I am using Ubuntu 12.04.1
