New Build - liq cooled 7990's - mtmhashcat - 01-11-2014

Hey guys, I'm a newbie here. I wanted to outline my new build to gather any thoughts. I've been reading on the forums for a while and you guys do some pretty amazing things. For my newest build I'm doing a 4 setup 7990 liquid cooled buildout. I know this has been done before but I figured I'd show you my setup. I purchased another 6 7990's ontop of the 4 going into this build and would love to do a rackmounted server setup but am unsure of the specific case and where to purchase. If anyone could be of any help greatly appreciated. Heres the setup so far:

that cable management makes me want to fly to where ever you are and do it properly.

are those three radiators really enough? gpufreak has like 2802384032 radiators on his quad 7990 systems.

NO, we have 1 more mo-rad 360 for this unit. we just wanted to make sure the cards would fire up no problem. I believe 2 of these rads should do the trick. We have another 8 card 7990 setup that we are working on at the moment that we haven't begun to think about how were going to keep it cool yet

going to be a long week.... rest of the cards for the 8 card build just came in! I'll keep you guys posted

How will you be running the 8 card setup as that gives you 16 GPUs? The driver only supports 8 last I knew.

RE: New Build - liq cooled 7990's - epixoip - 01-12-2014

eight cards is not possible. max is eight GPUs. so four 7990s max per system.

RE: New Build - liq cooled 7990's - mtmhashcat - 01-12-2014

8 cards being cooled, not on one mb. sorry should have been specific

ah ok, that makes more sense. but i still don't know if that will be enough radiators. seriously, check out gpufreak's build. you could build a fortress out of all the radiators he has for his 7990s.

and you want to talk about long weeks, we're in the process of upgrading our cluster to 290Xs Tongue

So coming along on the 3 7990 liq cooled buildout and new boards and procs and a bunch of EK stuff came in yesterday and we started another 7990 buildout but we needed more CPU power. dual 10 core, 4 7990s, 1350w x 2. here are some initial pics. the fittings are old and are all being replaced to match but we wanted to make sure everything was working and since we didn't have the memory blocks in yet we threw the box together to get it up.
