Please make sure you do not have the AMD SDK installed + uninstall cleanly the old driver and re-install the new driver. Download 13.12 here (http://www2.ati.com/drivers/linux/amd-catalyst-13.12-linux-x86.x86_64.zip) Then first complete uninstall the old driver version (you should have it sitting on your box.
