Hello.

I am new to cracking and just set up Hashcat.

what am i doing wrong?

The output works exactly how it should.

so the fact that it only ran for a few seconds implies that?.. i didnt use a long enough dictionary?

Also is my "hash file" in the correct format..?

130k word is not that big for a wordlist, and hashcat wouldn't load your file if it wasn't in the correct format.

hmm.. ive been running a couple over night: 0/1 hashes 0/1 salt

i must be in for a long wait.
