I have the hashcat-0.50.7z archive, but it doesn't seem to contain any linux applications. I ask because supposedly the latest beta corrects a bug where hybrid rule-based attacks with hashcat were skipping some wordworddigitdigitdigit combos...
could you guys advise me how to upgrade to v.50 in The-Distribution-Which-Does-Not-Handle-OpenCL-Well (Kali) 2.0?

You have to use "7z x" to extract the hashcat archive, then use the *.bin files on linux.

thanks....got it. v.50 still skips some candidates in a hybrid rule-based attack, as has been posted previously. where can I find that "latest beta" that supposedly has this bug fixed?
