Slow Speeds? GTX 980 x3 - sinister93 - 12-08-2015 So i'm pretty new at hashcat. I'm trying to crack some md5(phpbb3) hashes, but I feel like the speeds are pretty slow. I mean the estimated time is over 2 years lol. Does this mean I should use the cpu version of hashcat? Code: Session.Name...: cudaHashcat Also, is that temperature fine? I mean I know it's not an alarming temperature for a gpu but I figured it would be lower especially at that speed. Thanks in advance! RE: Slow Speeds? GTX 980 x3 - Szulik - 12-08-2015 i got 81-83 degree on my 4 titan x Speed are fine phpbb3 isnt fastest albo, You got many hashes to crack so speeds are normal RE: Slow Speeds? GTX 980 x3 - stratomarco - 12-08-2015 What OS? Drivers? Are you using SLI? the temps are pretty high for 980, i think... Set fans at 100% all the time. Marco RE: Slow Speeds? GTX 980 x3 - rico - 12-08-2015 Status screen of cudaHashcat running for 4 seconds. 99.27% of candidate passphrases rejected. Your hashrate and temperature readings are utterly pointless to comment on. |
