q6600 Cluster - togueter - 10-11-2011

Hi, I have a 5 core 2 cuad q6600 with 5870 in cluster. I have installed ubuntu Linux 10,4 with mpi. How i use your software (hashcat) in my cluster?. I don´t find option for it.

thanks

RE: q6600 Cluster - atom - 10-11-2011

there is no specific option. whats the problem?

RE: q6600 Cluster - togueter - 10-11-2011

I don´t know how to do it. I want to use my cluster for cracking password with your application, because John The Ripper mpi is slower. I think i could use all my processors and all my graphic cadrs for it.

thanks

RE: q6600 Cluster - atom - 10-11-2011

sure you can. but just know about that: nowadays CPU's are not important any longer in hashcracking. you can stick to the 5870 and have much more fun.

RE: q6600 Cluster - togueter - 11-01-2011

yes, but i have 5 core 2 quad with 2x5870 (total 10x 5870) i want to use all gpu with same hash in my cluster

RE: q6600 Cluster - atom - 11-01-2011

what you can do is to run 5 instances of oclHashcat*. you just have to split the workload into 5 chunks. see this article to get an idea: http://hashcat.net/wiki/distributing_workload_in_oclhashcat
