Getting extremely low speed and OpenCL error when I have it activated - Altro - 09-05-2016 Hi, I currently have a i7-4770k @ 3.50 GHz and a Radeon HD 7870 slightly overclocked, with 16 GB of ram. However I am only getting a speed of 1400 H/s, when I'm 100% certain I should be getting higher. I am relatively sure it is from an error I am getting regarding OpenCL: Not a native Intel OpenCL runtime, expect massive speed loss (screenshot of the 2 devices it lists and the error: https://gyazo.com/1fbc9170b776abe08f8e845927b89a1d). However I have OpenCL enabled (proof: https://gyazo.com/2ec5ae8f453f55d7ae9107a9cb28706f). Therefore I shouldn't be getting this error and even when I use --force, I still keep the same speed of 1400 H/s. Most interestingly, when I use -D 1, I get this: https://gyazo.com/b933c59f6c7b43946a7f8e13bab03d0d. Using -D 2 does nothing. Can anyone help me? I need to crack this password has ASAP. If you want to use only your HD 7870, use -d 1. I see that you are working on OSX 10.8+ hashes. I don't have any experience with these, but check out some of the benchmarks posted on the forum. It looks like it is a pretty slow hash. Maybe the figures are correct for your 2012 AMD card. Regarding not being able to use the CPU, check this out. https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-5698.html RE: Getting extremely low speed and OpenCL error when I have it activated - atom - 09-08-2016 You also want to use Intels OpenCL runtime for your CPU, it's usually more than twice as fast as the AMD one. |
