I have the same problem in linux Ubuntu.Ill try these. But in my case hashcat specifies witch lines(mostly everyone) has these error.
edit: Dosnt work. Before it detects my hashes in "user:hash.salt" but he says line length execption now just ():

Then you have an empty line in your hashlist
