If you dont use risers, no way except you find MOBO so long, but cooling will likely be problem, to little space between GK.
Check how mining rigs are designed and that could be solution for your request.

Look for PCI slots on your MOBO.
As said, if you plug GPUs directly on PCI slots, pay attention of the cooling and space between 2 cards.
You can use risers to optimize space and cooling (use quality ones!)

ASUS PRIME Z270-A, Z370-A and similar as a cheap variants
asus x99-e ws as a premium
U will haven't problems with any 7 pci motherboard on linux.
