GPU recommendations for rack case - 2d40 - 11-20-2020
Hi,
I'm looking to by a single Nvidia GPU (max budget is ~1000 usd) for my (AMD Epyc/Ryzen) lab server. I don't want to build a cluster (already have one and hate maintaining multiple GPUs), I just need a single most efficient and least problematic GPU (when it comes to drivers and stability and heat) I could shove into my rack 4U case. I've seen that some people here toyed with GPU passthrough - I'm planning on doing this (currently runs lovely with ancient r270 on proxmox, I'm hoping Nvidia will be even more hassle free) - so any comments about gpu passthrough issues with popular GPUs are welcome
