Hashcat not running on Windows - Ranga - 02-08-2021
Hello
My Hashcat has stop working it was work all good then just stopped
iv updated everthing still a no go run in Admin nope no luck iv used a older version of hashcat.
I've gone through the forums and seeing people having the same problem I tried what day did still no luck even
everytime I try to get it to run I get a pop-up message saying this app can't run on your PC
I'm pretty sure it is a Windows error and not necessarily hashcat
I've attached to pictures of the messages I get
Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated

1. which version do you use? hashcat -V ? the single hashcat32.exe, hashct64.exe files where droped some time ago
1. try hashcat on another partition than c:
2. is it possible, that you are running a 32 bit Windows?

im running a 64bit Windows
i cant even do hashcat -v lol but its V6.1.1 and iv used V6.1.0
iv been using hashcat64.exe for the last 6 months then just 2 weeks go i get this app can't run

in 6.1.1 there is only a hashcat.exe, try a "clean" install or delete everything except pot files etc. and copy 6.1.1 over, try again, maybe set hashcat to run as admin

hashcat.exe work thanks mate didn't know they dropped the 64 part
