GPU-Device missing
#1
Hello,

i have one problem with the new hashcat3.00.

It works fine, but i can see only 1 device (CPU).

But where is my second device, the GPU? I have Windows 7 32 bit, Radeon HD 5770 and the newest driver from AMD (16.2.1).

I want to use my GPU.

Can someone help me?

Thanks a lot!

AMD dropped support for VLIW cards like three driver versions ago, so your card is too old to use hashcat. Maybe you can find an old driver that will work, or just buy a new GPU.

Greetings Cat2016

Use Catalyst drivers not Crimson with legacy Radeon HD cards.

I use Catalyst 15.11.1 beta for my HD 5750, but it has lower performance with hashcat v3.00 on specific algorithms.

So, you could also try oclhashcat v2.01, the previous version.

But I have to say that I'm going to buy a new Radeon RX 470, because HD 5750 is too old.

Hey,

thanks for your fast answers.

Unfortunately, i dont find an official download link to the outdated oclhashcat v2.01 (binaries)? Can someone give me a link? So i could try it out.

I tried it also with the Catalyst 15.7.1. But there was a Hastcat32.exe crash. Just now i tried it with the 15.11.1 beta driver. Same problem as the 15.7.1 driver. I see the GPU now, but after the devicelist, the hastcat32.exe crashed. What can be the problem? I dont want to buy a new GPU Wink

Hey,

no one has a hint for me, why the failure appears? Is there somewhere a download link to the outdated oclhashcat v2.01 (binaries)? My old GPU works maybe with this version...

Thanks!

Oclhashcat works with the Catalyst 15.11.1 beta driver.
