Tongue
Will anyone be remortgaging their home or taking out a small loan in order to buy this?

I look forward to someone posting the benchmarks. Smile

That's already been done. Amazon has some V100 installed in their AWS. Here's what they are capable of:

I posted some on twitter a little while ago. Didn't get through a full benchmark, the drivers weren't happy.

hashcat (v4.0.1) starting in benchmark mode...

Benchmarking uses hand-optimized kernel code by default.
You can use it in your cracking session by setting the -O option.
Note: Using optimized kernel code limits the maximum supported password length.
To disable the optimized kernel code in benchmark mode, use the -w option.

* Device #1: WARNING! Kernel exec timeout is not disabled.
This may cause "CL_OUT_OF_RESOURCES" or related errors.
To disable the timeout, see: https://hashcat.net/q/timeoutpatch
* Device #3: Not a native Intel OpenCL runtime. Expect massive speed loss.
You can use --force to override, but do not report related errors.

Interestingly, your benchmark is coming in a good bit under the one I did. I wonder if there's something weird between driver versions there. Were you getting any sort of hiccups? Such as the kernels ending early due to the kernel execution time out? It threw the warning for not having the timeout patch.

I'll re-run it on Ubuntu when I have a chance to test.  Were your benchmarks with stock core and memory clocks?

Yeah, everything was stock. You should be within 5% of the SMX2 V100, which does ~52GH/s MD5. Titan-V did 50GH/s for me stock. You are doing 45GH/s, which is a serious difference. I suspect its a driver thing since we've seen that size of change before between different driver versions. I dont have access to the Titan-V system I used for those benchmarks anymore, but as soon as I get a hold of another one, I can run some more tests to see what's up.

how about -15700 mode with ethereum ?

Doesn't seem to execute correctly unfortunately:

PS D:\hashcat> .\hashcat64.exe --benchmark --hash-type 15700
hashcat (v4.0.1) starting in benchmark mode...

Benchmarking uses hand-optimized kernel code by default.
You can use it in your cracking session by setting the -O option.
Note: Using optimized kernel code limits the maximum supported password length.
To disable the optimized kernel code in benchmark mode, use the -w option.

That is not surprising. That mode is essentially unusable on GPUs. We really need to add a warning for that.
