I've managed to test it with oclHashcat-lite like that:

./oclHashcat-lite32.bin -m0 --custom-charset1 ?l 098f6bcd4621d373cade4e832627b4f6

that works...

Because oclHashcat-plus uses a default mask when you don't use any.
