Why im not have all power speed in linux ? whit oclhashcat...

Hi :

im verry noob in linux, im have and HD5970 2GB and 2 OS, WIN7 and UBUNTU 10.10

Im instaled all in linux, and get this :

Device #1: Cypress, 512MB, 0Mhz, 20MCU
Device #2: Cypress, 512MB, 0Mhz, 20MCU
NOTE: gpu-accel auto-adjusted to: 80
Device #1: Kernel ./kernels/4098/m0102.Cypress.64.kernel
Device #2: Kernel ./kernels/4098/m0102.Cypress.64.kernel

and 700M/s hash speed.

in WIN7 have 1600M/s

so ¿? im dont understend, im read in this forum about my HD5970 work whit full power speed in linux, bz in WIN only takes 1 GPU power insted the 2 GPU of the HD5970

everything depends on how you attack. pls paste cmdline

im using this command line in linux :

./oclHashcat64.bin -m 102 -o found.txt hashlist.txt ?d?d?d?d?d?d?d?d ?d?d?d?d?d?d?d

and this in win7 :

OCLlHashcat64.exe -m 102 -o found.txt hashlist.txt ?d?d?d?d?d?d?d?d ?d?d?d?d?d?d?d

try this in linux:

$ perl -e 'print "f" x 32' > hash
$ ./oclHashcat64.bin hash -1 ?l?d?s?u -n 800 --gpu-loops 1024 ?1?1?1?1 ?1?1?1?1

then you should get full power.

the thing is everything depends on the attack. however, do not forget to add at least -n 80, it brings a lot.

but have NEW problem.

in windows the oclhashcat said to me need 6 days for crack the file hashlist.txt in linux said to me need 35 days, what happend ?

however if this is somehow related to sl3 you can not crack it with v0.25
