hashcat Forum

Full Version: Where is sha1(LinkedIn) ?
You're currently viewing a stripped down version of our content. View the full version with proper formatting.
On https://hashcat.net/wiki/doku.php?id=example_hashes  one can find :
Quote:190 -  sha1(LinkedIn)

But in hashcat 3.40 (and 3.30)  this mode does not exist.
Why ?

Seems related to https://github.com/hashcat/hashcat/issues/46

Thanks.
There are currently no plans to restore -m 190 in current mainline unified hashcat. If you need this hash type, you'll need to use the older releases of hashcat.

Also, those truncated hashes are from an older LinkedIn leak. The later leak has non-truncated hashes (and all of them, not just a subset). You're better off working from that newer leak.
