MD5 phpbb v.3 question - Mariane - 03-31-2012 First of all, as it's my first post here, hello to everyone All the hash codes of a database linked to a phpbb forum start with $H$9 Exemple: $H$9xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx which corresponds to test00 Is $H$9 part of the hash code or should I remove it before running the program? EDIT: Hash has been removed. RE: MD5 phpbb v.3 question - M@LIK - 03-31-2012 no.. u shouldn't.. not all of (MD5(phpBB3)) hashes start with "$H$9".. RE: MD5 phpbb v.3 question - Dave - 03-31-2012 It's part of the hash. (It's the hash identifier.) RE: MD5 phpbb v.3 question - Mariane - 04-01-2012 Thank you. I'll leave it then. I was not saying all MD5 hashes start with $H$9, only that in this particular database they all start with that (AFAIK, I have not looked at all the rows). |
