Bitcoin Addresses / Custom Query? - Peleus - 04-03-2013
Hey all,
I'm looking to generate a large amount of bitcoin addresses (vanity addresses) and I'm wondering if there is a method I can use the power of oclHashcat to do so. I've loved it with password cracking so I'd prefer to stick with the software if I can, although I know there is some other vanity address software out there.
For those that don't know, bitcoin addresses are generated in the following way - https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Technical_background_of_version_1_Bitcoin_addresses
Essentially it's just hashing and encoding in particular ways, what oclHashcat excels at.
I've got a python script to do what I want, but again I'm wondering if I can get oclHashcat to do it.
