Hi,
Looking into a new gfx card I was considering this http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-asus-radeon-r9-280x-directcu-ii-6000mhz-gddr5-gpu-1000mhz-2048-cores-dvi-d-hdmi-dport
Does that perform well with hashcat and is it a better option over a 7970?
Good cooling and as noisefree as possible is important to me but with the DCII cooling it should be fine?

afaict there is no difference between an R9 280X and a 7970. they appear to be the same gpu. so no, it won't perform better than a 7970.
