It is possible to use a apu and a discrete nvidia together - n_lona - 04-05-2016

It is possible to use a apu open cl 1.2 and a discrete nvidia compute cap 3.5 together? how? I don't thinks to because bios switch between but if it possible would be very userful for me.

Should be possible with beta, test it and see?

how do I setup such a configuration:
Code:
 tail .bashrc
#for APU A8-5500 with HD7560D
export AMDAPPSDKROOT="/opt/AMDAPPSDK-2.9.1"
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/AMDAPPSDK-2.9.1/lib/x86_64:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

#for EVGA GT710
export PATH=/usr/local/cuda-7.5/bin:$PATH
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/cuda-7.5/lib64:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

alias mp64.bin='/home/hp/maskprocessor-master/src/mp64.bin'
alias cudaHashcat64.bin='/home/hp/cudaHashcat-2.01/cudaHashcat64.bin'
alias oclHashcat64.bin='/home/hp/oclHashcat-2.01/oclHashcat64.bin'

source .bashrc

especially for ld_library, xorg with 2 gpus: one in the apu and one in the discrete one?

RE: It is possible to use a apu and a discrete nvidia together - epixoip - 04-05-2016

Well first of all you never needed to have (nor should you have had) AMD APP SDK or CUDA installed. Neither are necessary or desired for Hashcat. You certainly never needed to use LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

Second, cudaHashcat doesn't exist anymore in beta, OpenCL is used for all platforms and devices.

So I guess the first thing to do would be to get rid of everything you have shown above, especially APP SDK & CUDA, install latest fglrx & Nvidia driver, download latest oclHashcat beta, and then just run it.

Seems to be possible even with 2.01 oclhc & 2.01 cudahc

I know my xorg.conf is messed up but I don't know how to set up to 2 xorg.conf for 2 different gpu each as its own utility to generate a unique file

RE: It is possible to use a apu and a discrete nvidia together - epixoip - 04-05-2016

It's not possible to use both GPUs together with 2.01, no. But it is possible to use 2.01 without all that crap you had, yes.

Maybe I misunderstood your first post but I thought you wanted to use both cooperatively, which can you do in 2.10 beta.

If you don't know how to build from source, then grab the binary distribution from https://hashcat.net/beta/
