RE: hashcat 2.01 vs 3.1 - epixoip - 11-08-2016

In your first test you only have one device, in your second test you have at least 3 devices (though you've skipped #2). Is this really an apples-to-apples comparison you're doing? Also, have you tried benchmarking without the CPU?

RE: hashcat 2.01 vs 3.1 - Xanadrel - 11-08-2016

Thanks for the high quality post, not exactly pointing out something in particular, nor giving any detail like hardware, driver version or the like.

If you're just trying to point out speed differences between two major versions of hashcat, yes, we are kind of aware of that, it may have been tracked since some time already.

It may even be on a spreadsheet like this one

RE: hashcat 2.01 vs 3.1 - echo - 11-08-2016

Well thank you for the replay:

Well i've disabled the integrated intel HD that in previous post was enabled.

I don't know how to benchmark without the CPU can you help me?

I've tried again with HS VERSION 2.01 --> same result as previous post
Ive tried again with HS VERSION 3.1 --> benchmark still behind

RE: hashcat 2.01 vs 3.1 - atom - 11-09-2016

You can try with --opencl-vector-width 1 or 2 or 4, see if it changes anything

Thank you for the help,
I tried: it slightly changes the benchmark (the best with option 1 followed by option 4 and than 2) but I achieve better performance with the old distro
