Using & amersand in character set

Using & amersand in character set
upper case, numbers and a few special characters
_&?@%-#

I can get the following to work
-1 ?u?d_??@%-#

but not the ampersand.

Any ideas?

this is something caused by your shell. if you are on linux, put quote it with '?u?d_??@%-#&'
