Hashcat gui will not run. After inputing the settings and pressing start the dos box appears, and tells me to type the help switch. Thats it. What am I doing wrong?

Thanx Atom,Mem 5 but I don't understand how to create a mask for a 6-12 digit password using lowercase character set with numbers ranging fro 1-9999 including special characters.
Could you please give us an example?
