Not true, I also have a 32 bit version of OS X like JollyJohn, and even when trying to launch with terminal, I still got an error.
ok, so can you please type the commands you use on terminal...

Does hash cat 0.46 support OS 10.9 Maverics?
I have 64 bit iMac 2.66 intel core 2 duo $GB RAM but Terminal tells me
-bash: ./hashcat-cli64.bin: cannot execute binary file
whether I copy the first example into the command line or drag hash cat-cli64.bin into the Terminal window.
