AMD Radeon R9 290X - Gig11gs - 09-23-2013 Quote:AMD Radeon R9 290X based on Hawaii silicon will be the fastest single-gpu graphics card in terms of gaming performance. At least that’s what the benchmark results tell ussource Any one exited? RE: AMD Radeon R9 290X - Rolf - 09-23-2013 Don't be fooled by the preliminary results and compare gaming/synthetic benchmarks to practical integer performance. Also, as long as it's at least 20% faster than 7970, it's a win. But actually it's sad that card will has only 2816 stream processors, i've expect that it will be at least 4096 (2x of 7970), but marketing did it evil work. RE: AMD Radeon R9 290X - epixoip - 09-26-2013 it's also still GCN, not GCN2. RE: AMD Radeon R9 290X - gat3way - 09-27-2013 Is there some information on that GCN2 architecture? RE: AMD Radeon R9 290X - epixoip - 09-27-2013 AMD published some teasers back in December of last year, but haven't said a word about it since. they continue to release GCN-based GPUs, so i presume GCN2 just simply doesn't exist. RE: AMD Radeon R9 290X - Gig11gs - 09-30-2013 R9 260X and above are GCN 2.0 based RE: AMD Radeon R9 290X - rum - 09-30-2013 Buy now HD7990 or wait R9 290X ? RE: AMD Radeon R9 290X - Rolf - 10-02-2013 So the core clock is at 1.05Ghz, at least that's what the latest speculations are saying. Ze source. |
