Don't be fooled by the preliminary results and compare gaming/synthetic benchmarks to practical integer performance.
Also, as long as it's at least 20% faster than 7970, it's a win.

But actually it's sad that card will has only 2816 stream processors, i've expect that it will be at least 4096 (2x of 7970), but marketing did it evil work.

it's also still GCN, not GCN2.

AMD published some teasers back in December of last year, but haven't said a word about it since. they continue to release GCN-based GPUs, so i presume GCN2 just simply doesn't exist.

So the core clock is at 1.05Ghz, at least that's what the latest speculations are saying.
