gf: are you sure the dmesg is a proper way? i always thought it was more like system log and the user can change levels of logged events

On Windows, simply start the executable the normal way.
The agent does not require Admin/root rights and will not write outside its directory. It will create files and subdirectories.

When I tried hashtopus.exe it crashed after few seconds:

Yes, that is because there is only one Hashcat release defined in the admin, and that's a fake release. All executables are zero-length files so once the system tries to run it, it crashes. This will not happen in the real world, once the 1.20 is out.

New features:
- importing files (wordlists, rules) not only via web-upload but also via FTP to specific directory
- creating new wordlist in files from all already cracked hashes from a selected hashlist
- improved db model and indexing
- autodetect line separator in hashlist upload (\r\n, \n or \r)

Very interesting!
Do you have a release date for the beta version?

RE: Hashtopus - distributed solution - curlyboi - 05-05-2014

Wow, long time no see this thread Smile

Lots of new features, I am now working with some core members of hashcat community so I am adding features for best cracking experience including:
- preconfigured tasks
- import/export hashes or pre-cracked hashes from different systems/potfile/etc
- improved stability

I am hoping to release on PasswordsCon^14
