CTF. Maybe some obfuscation is in play. Something like base64. That would create this kind of string. Or maybe you have to really use as token to get the "real" hash from web.

If the drive is not encrypted just mount it and read the data. You can also easily chroot and reset the root password. If it's LUKS encrypted look here: LUKS Support (https://hashcat.net/forum/thr...
