HD 5850

I have a friend willing to sell me his 5850 (fully functioning reference card only used for gaming) for a rock bottom price. I have searched the forums and I understand that the 5850 is still supported, but is it worth buying?

5850 will not be supported for much longer, AMD is dropping VLIW5 support in the next driver release.

I wouldn't buy any AMD card that isn't GCN.

They also plan to drop VLIW4, so all 6xxx cards won't work, too
