First, if you want to use -e, don't use --remove. If I remember well it's not yet fixed in this version of Hashcat. Here's a couple of things to try but I am not sure if they can really cause a problem:
- I think that you need spaces at a couple of places like -a 0, -m 121 and -n 8.
- Just to be safe, make sure that the user names in the salt file are all lowercased.
- It was unclear in your post but the hash file should only have the hashes which are 40 characters long, 1 per line.
