is hashcat support an ordinary exe\cmd file?

i have an exe file that open a cmd window and ask for a password, i have a list of passwords that im pretty sure one of them is correct, and i want to brute force\dictionary attack the file, does hashcat does that? where should i start reading to learn how to do it?
