since brute-force has been ported from lite and not from regular oclHashcat, speeds depend a lot on the number of hashes.
for example, with 2 hashes:
plus 0.07: Speed........: 5013.7M c/s Real, 5085.7M c/s GPU
regular 0.26: Speed.GPU*...: 4035.2M/s
with 100 hashes:
plus 0.07: Speed........: 4581.0M c/s Real, 4884.6M c/s GPU
regular 0.26: Speed.GPU*...: 3968.6M/s
event horizon is somewhere around 1000 hashes.
also, if you take a look at docs/todo.txt it contains this line:
- Should use oclHashcat-lite's candidate generator to lower GPU idle times
once this has been done, it will again boost a lot in speed
