for AMD you can mostly refer to the list of devices supported by ROCm: https://rocm.github.io/hardware.html

Some older cards may work with the official AMD drivers on Windows but don't expect anything.

For nVidia it's not really worth using any cards older than the Maxwell series (9xx). Older cards may work but will have poor performance.
